About This Location

Nome on the Bering Sea coast is one of the most accessible Arctic birding destinations in North America, reached by jet service from Anchorage. Three roads radiate from town through tundra, providing access to breeding shorebirds, Asian vagrants, and species like Bristle-thighed Curlew found at few other US locations.
